Every November during Book Week Scotland we celebrate books and their talented authors, as well as the joy of reading for pleasure and writing creatively. This Book Week Scotland marks our first without Leela Soma, Indian/Scottish writer, poet and champion of aspiring writers, who sadly passed away in December 2022 after a short but sudden illness.

In this special event Isobel Freeman, Mridula Sharma, Anjana Sen, and Anne Pettigrew will discuss Leela’s legacy and her final book Murder at the Mela. The distinguished panel will also explore Women's Crime Writing, Tartan Noir, and Writing in the Wider Glasgow Communities.
